The White Swan Hotel

For over 285 years the White Swan has been one of the noted houses of call in Barton. It is now the last of the town's old posting houses. When it was first built is hard to state, but we do find that about the year 1670 a Mr George Kidson issued his own token halfpennies. this Mr Kidson was the landlord of the White Swan which we can assume was the present White Swan Hotel.
